COL FB: Oklahoma 55, Texas 17

DALLAS, Oct. 8 (UPI) -- Landry Jones threw three touchdown passes and Oklahoma's defense scored three times as well in the top-ranked Sooners' 55-17 blowout of No. 10 Texas Saturday.

Jones went 31-of-50 for 367 yards and connected with Ryan Broyles nine times for 122 yards and a touchdown.

Kenny Stills caught two TD passes in the rout and Dom Whaley ran in a 64-yard score for the Sooners (5-0, 2-0 Big 12) before a stunned crowd at the Cotton Bowl.

The Oklahoma defense chipped in with an interception and two fumble recoveries that were all returned for touchdowns. The Sooners racked up 453 yards in total offense to 259 for Texas (4-1, 1-1).

Texas scored on a 100-yard kickoff return by Fosswhitt Whittaker and added its only offensive TD on a 4-yard pass from David Ash to Jaxon Shipley with 2:31 to play in the game.

Ash split time at quarterback with Case McCoy and together they were sacked eight times and threw for 223 yards.
