Florida Panthers 6, San Jose Sharks 5

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Jonathan Huberdeau scored 1:38 into overtime to give the Florida Panthers a wild 6-5 win over the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday night.

Huberdeau scored his third goal of the season to give Florida its fifth win in six games while San Jose lost for the fifth time in six tries.

Joe Pavelski capped a late third-period comeback with a pair of goals within three minutes to enable the Sharks to force overtime. The second came with Sharks goalie Martin Jones pulled for the extra attacker and 37.4 seconds remaining. Panthers goalie Roberto Luongo was forced to leave after he appeared to sustain a lower-body injury on the play.

James Reimer entered and stopped both shots he faced after Luongo made 29 saves. Jones was beaten six times on the Panthers' 22 shots on goal. Aleksander Barkov and Nick Bjugstad each scored twice for Florida.

Columbus Blue Jackets 5, Toronto Maple Leafs 2

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Columbus jumped out to a four-goal lead in the first 30 minutes and went on to claim a victory over Toronto.

Josh Anderson and Boone Jenner scored first-period goals for the Blue Jackets in the fourth game of their season-long seven-game homestand. Oliver Bjorkstrand and Nick Foligno added second-period goals. An empty-net goal by Columbus' Matt Calvert at 17:39 of the third period sealed the win. Joonas Korpisalo, starting for the first time since Jan. 31 in place of Sergei Bobrovsky, finished with 31 saves.

Nazem Kadri was responsible for both Maple Leafs' goals, scoring late in the second period and adding his second in third period to give him 23 for the season.

St. Louis Blues 2, Detroit Red Wings 0

DETROIT -- Carter Hutton stopped 25 shots for his fourth shutout of the season as St. Louis posted a victory over Detroit.

It with the fifth shutout posted by the Blues in their last 10 road games, and back-up goalie Hutton has accounted for four of them.

Ivan Barbashev and Jaden Schwartz scored for the Blues.

Calgary Flames 3, Philadelphia Flyers 1

CALGARY, Alberta -- Matthew Tkachuk scored once and set up the game-winning goal by TJ Brodie as Calgary beat Philadelphia.

Flames goaltender Brian Elliott stopped 33 shots. Mark Giordano added an empty-net goal for Calgary, which leapfrogged past the Los Angeles Kings for the final Western Conference wild-card playoff spot. The Kings have three games in hand on the Flames, though.

Nick Cousins scored the lone goal of the game for the Flyers, who remain two points behind the Toronto Maple Leafs for the final Eastern Conference wild-card position.
