June 25 (UPI) -- Jordan Spieth chipped in a bunker shot on the 18th hole Sunday to win the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn.
Spieth hit the big chip while facing a massive bank. He lofted it over the hill and sank the attempt off of the roll for birdie. Spieth tossed his club and immediately ran up to his caddy and gave him a chest bump.
The hole was the first in Spieth's playoff against Daniel Berger. Spieth joined Tiger Woods as the second player to have at least 10 wins on the PGA Tour before turning 24-years-old. Spieth had a one-shot league on Boo Weekley entering the final day of the tournament.
Spieth held on for the victory following his chip as Berger missed a long birdie putt, which would have forced another hole.

While onlookers thought Spieth had no chance at sinking the shot, his PGA Tour friend Justin Thomas had faith. Before Spieth's stroke, Thomas tweeted that he wouldn't be surprised if Spieth holed it.
"Wouldn't be surprised if @JordanSpieth just holed this bunker shot," Thomas wrote.
"You're welcome #goldenchild," Thomas wrote after Spieth's shot.

Spieth and Berger tied at 12-under-par 268 heading into the playoff.
His chip-in came from more than 61-feet away from the pin. Thomas missed the cut at the tournament.
An epic shot calls for an epic celebration.
