PALM BEACH, Fla., March 2 (UPI) -- The PGA denied rumors Monday that Tiger Woods was suspended from the tour for failing a drug test.

Woods recently announced he is stepping away from the game as he is not playing to a standard he finds acceptable. Dan Olsen, who played a tour in 2011, suggested Woods was suspended from the tour for failing a test.

"I've heard that he's suspended. I heard he's on a month's suspension. And it's not, it's kind of a strong witness. It's a credible person that's telling me this. It's not testosterone, but it's something else. I think when it's all said and done, he's gonna surpass Lance Armstrong with infamy," he told The Game 730 AM radio show.

Woods' agent denied the accusations.

"These claims are absolutely, unequivocally and completely false," Woods' agent Mark Steinberg said. "They are unsourced, unverified and completely ridiculous."

The PGA tour also denied the claims.

"There is no truth whatsoever to these claims," Ty Votaw, the executive vice president of the PGA Tour, said Monday. "We categorically deny these allegations."
