COL FB: Alabama 52, Mississippi 7

OXFORD, Miss., Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Trent Richardson ran for a career-best 183 yards and four touchdowns Saturday in carrying third-ranked Alabama to a 52-7 blasting of Mississippi.

Jalston Fowler also had a career game with 125 rushing yards and two scores for Alabama, which remained unbeaten in seven games and improved to 4-0 in the Southeastern Conference.

AJ McCarron completed 19-of-24 passes for 224 yards and a touchdown to back up the overwhelming Crimson Tide rushing attack. Alabama gained 389 yards on the ground.

Richardson scored four of Alabama's first five touchdowns on runs of 8, 7, 8 and 76 yards. The last of those scores gave the Crimson Tide a 31-7 lead midway through the third quarter.

Mississippi quarterback Randall Mackey was good on 10-of-21 passes for 113 yards and an interception. Mississippi (2-4, 0-3) gained just 28 yards on the ground.
