COL FB: Oklahoma State 59, Tulsa 33

TULSA, Okla., Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Brandon Weeden passed for three touchdowns and Joseph Randle ran for three scores in pacing No. 7 Oklahoma State to a 59-33 win over the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.

The start of the game, set for 10 p.m., was delayed for more than three hours and, with a total of 92 points and 1,082 yards, didn't end until about 3:30 a.m.

Tulsa (1-2) scored first on a Kevin Fitzpatrick field goal of 25 yards but Oklahoma State (3-0) took the lead when Justin Gilbert returned the ensuing kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown.

The Cowboys added scores from Hubert Anyiam, on a 36-yard pass from Weeden, and Randle, on a 1-yard run, before Fitzpatrick kicked another field goal. Oklahoma State got a field goal of its own from Quinn Sharp and another Randle 5-yard scoring run for a 31-6 lead at halftime.

The third quarter turned into a shootout. The Cowboys pushed the lead to 45-6 early in the period with rushing scores from Randle and Jeremy Smith. Tulsa scored its first two touchdowns of the game, with Ja'Terian Douglas breaking free for an 80-yard run and Bryan Burnham finishing off a 43-yard pass play from Kalen Henderson.

Weeden connected with Isaiah Anderson for a touchdown and Henderson found Burnham for another Tulsa score to make the score 52-26 going into the fourth quarter.

Weeden's final scoring throw came with midway through the final period and Douglas, who finished with 173 rushing yards for Tulsa, completed the scoring with a 42-yard run
