COL BKB: Michigan 66, Purdue 64

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind., Jan. 24 (UPI) -- Jordan Morgan put No. 20 Michigan ahead for good on a dunk with 1:22 left Tuesday and the Spartans hung on for a 66-64 Big Ten victory over Purdue.

The Wolverines (16-5, 6-2 Big Ten) secured the win when Purdue's Lewis Jackson missed a heave from just inside the mid-court line at the buzzer.

Morgan finished with 12 points while Tim Hardaway Jr. led Michigan with 19 as the Spartans rebounded from Saturday's 66-64 loss at Arkansas.

The Boilermakers (14-7, 4-4) lost their fourth in six games despite Jackson's 17 points and eight assists.

Robbie Hummel contributed 16 points, six assists and five rebounds for the losers.
