OXFORD, Miss., Jan. 18 (UPI) -- A 19-point performance by Reginald Buckner Wednesday lifted Mississippi to a 75-68 upset of 15th-ranked Mississippi State.
The Rebels had lost five of their previous seven games, but surprised their rivals -- with Buckner also pulling down 15 rebounds. Nick Williams had 17 points for Mississippi and both Jarvis Summers and Terrance Henry had 12.

Mississippi climbed to 12-6 and evened its Southeastern Conference record at 2-2.
The Bulldogs (15-4, 2-2) had a two-game winning streak snapped. Renardo Sidney scored 17 points for Mississippi State with Dee Bost adding 15.
