COL BKB: San Diego State 69, UNLV 67

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Jamaal Franklin's running shot just before the buzzer Saturday handed 22nd-ranked San Diego State a dramatic 69-67 victory over No. 12 Nevada-Las Vegas.

Franklin got control of the ball at the top of the key, dribbled into the paint and launched a shot over a pair of defenders that went into the net with only 0.3 seconds left.

The game-winner came after Aztecs Coach Steve Fished decided not to take a timeout following a pair of score-tying foul shots by UNLV's Brice Massamba.

The game ended when the Rebels' Mike Moser stepped over the line on the following inbounds play.

San Diego State (15-2, 1-0 MWC) posted its sixth straight win over UNLV.

Anthony Marshall led UNLV (16-3, 0-1) with a game-high 26 points.

The Rebels shot just 35.3 percent from the floor.
