SAN DIEGO, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Chase Tapley netted 24 points Tuesday and 22nd-ranked San Diego State kept Chicago State winless with a 73-65 decision over the Cougars.

Jamaal Franklin notched 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Aztecs (14-2), who won their seventh straight contest. James Rahon added nine points for San Diego State.

Chicago State (0-16) remained one of only three teams in the country that have yet to log a win this season, joining Towson and Binghamton.

Matt Samuels led the Cougars with 17 points and five rebounds.
