"The Florida Panthers are honored and thrilled to congratulate Jaromir on his historic accomplishment," Panthers president of hockey operations Dale Tallon said in a statement. "A future Hall-of-Famer, Jaromir has been an elite talent since his first day in the NHL and is one of the league's most iconic players.

"Since coming to Florida, he has been an inspirational influence on our team's developing young players, while becoming one of South Florida's most memorable athletes."

Jagr, who was traded to Florida in February 2015, has played 133 games with the Panthers, scoring 39 goals and 65 assists.

Jagr has over 100 career points with four different teams, including the Panthers. He recorded 1,079 points with the Pittsburgh Penguins, 201 with the Washington Capitals and 319 with the New York Rangers.
