Hot tea burn forces South Korean golfer to withdraw from LPGA tournament

Se Ri Pak withdrew in the middle of the second round of the Volunteers of America Texas Shootout on Friday due to a burn on her leg caused from hot tee.

Pak, the South Korean legend who has announced this will be her final year on tour, was 1-over par for the tournament when she was seen receiving medical attention in a fairway. The Golf Channel later reported that she was forced to withdraw due to a burn on her leg from hot tea.

It was unclear whether the burn was suffered before the round or after Pak teed off for her second round in Irving, Texas. Pak has more than $12.5 million in career earnings since joining the LPGA Tour in 1998.
