JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Richard Samuel scored on a 4-yard run in the fourth quarter Saturday, capping a rally that sent 21st-ranked Georgia past Florida 24-20.
Samuel's score completed a comeback from a 17-3 deficit for the Bulldogs (6-2, 5-1 SEC), who logged their sixth straight victory despite a long spell of ineffectiveness by quarterback Aaron Murray.
The Georgia signal-caller went 15-of-34 through the air for 169 yards, tossing nine straight incompletions at one point. But he also managed to hurl a pair of TD passes that helped rally the Bulldogs.
John Brantley passed for 245 yards and a touchdown in his return from an ankle sprain, but it wasn't enough to prevent a fourth straight loss for Florida (4-4, 2-4).
The highlight for the Gators was a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the second quarter by Jeff Demps.
