COL FB: Louisiana State 45, Auburn 10

BATON ROUGE, La., Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Rueben Randle made two long touchdown catches Saturday and No. 2 Louisiana State routed No. 23 Auburn 45-10 in its most one-sided win ever over its SEC rival.

Randle's receptions from Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee came in the last 5 minutes of the first half and turned the contest into a rout.

Lee started at quarterback and passed for 165 yards while Kenny Hilliard notched a pair of rushing touchdowns for LSU (8-0, 5-0 SEC), which is off to an 8-0 start for the fifth time in school history and first time since 1973.

It was also the Tigers' eighth consecutive win by double digits to start the season.

Clint Moseley passed for 145 yards but yielded an interception that was returned for a touchdown in his first career start for Auburn (5-3, 3-2).
