COL BKB: Virginia 70, Michigan 58

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Mike Scott pumped in 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds Tuesday in Virginia's 70-58 victory over 15th-ranked Michigan.

Scott dominated the smaller Michigan frontline, while Joe Harris contributed 18 points, seven rebounds and four steals for Virginia (6-1).

The Cavaliers captured their fourth straight in the opening contest of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

Zack Novak netted 12 points and Trey Burke added 11 for Michigan (5-2).

Star guard Tim Hardaway Jr. was held to five points for the Wolverines, who have dropped two of three.
