Bogut, Howard to lead NBA Challenge teams

NEW YORK, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Forwards Andrew Bogut of Milwaukee and Dwight Howard of Orlando Wednesday were named to participate in the Rookie Challenge in Houston.

The game is set for Feb. 17 during NBA All-Star weekend. Bogut, the first overall pick in 2005, will lead the Rookie squad, joining guard Chris Paul of the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets, forwards Charlie Villanueva of Toronto; forward Danny Granger and guard Sarunas Jasikevicius of Indiana; forward Channing Frye and guard Nate Robinson of the New York Knicks; and guard Deron Williams of Utah.

The sophomores will be Howard, the top pick in 2004; forward Andre Iguodala of Philadelphia; Milwaukee guard T.J. Ford; center Nenad Krstic of New Jersey; guards Jameer Nelson of Orlando and Devin Harris of Dallas; and guards Luol Deng and Ben Gordon and forward Andres Nocioni, all from Chicago.

The Rookie team will be coached by Detroit assistant Sidney Lowe. Dallas assistant Del Harris will guide the sophomores.
