The Mi-28N Night Hunter is Russia's version of the U.S. Apache helicopter, which is designed to carry out various ground-support missions, and will also be marketed to international customers. China and Venezuela were on the list of potential buyers, RIA Novosti said.

A military spokesman told the RIA Novosti news agency Tuesday that the all-weather aircraft was undergoing testing and would be getting some upgrades to meet new mission requirements.

The Night Hunter carries up to 16 anti-tank missiles plus heavy machine guns.
