Report: Ex-Clemson QB Bryant narrows list to two SEC schools

Former Clemson quarterback Kelly Bryant will resume his career in the Southeastern Conference.

Bryant has visit a number of schools since deciding to walk away from the Clemson program earlier this season, but the Kansas City Star reported that he has narrowed his decision to Missouri and Auburn.

Earlier this month, Rivals.com reported that Bryant set a date of Dec. 4 to select his graduate transfer destination.

Bryant, who announced plans to transfer from Clemson after coach Dabo Swinney chose freshman Trevor Lawrence as the team's starting quarterback in late September, is visiting Auburn this weekend.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Bryant had an in-house visit with Arkansas on Thursday and huddled with Missouri officials earlier this week, according to the newspaper. He also visited North Carolina and Mississippi State.

Bryant has one year of eligibility remaining and will not have to sit out a season because he is a graduate transfer.

The 22-year-old Bryant made 18 consecutive starts for the Tigers, posting a 16-2 record and guiding Clemson to the College Football Playoffs last year.

In four games this season, Bryant completed 36 of 54 passes for 461 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. He has also rushed for 130 yards and two scores.

Bryant finished the 2017 season with 2,802 yards, 13 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 14 games. He also rushed for 665 yards and 11 scores.
