Safety Marcus Hooker, who is part of Ohio State's 2018 recruiting class, was charged with driving under the influence earlier this week according to a report in the Cleveland Plain Dealer on Wednesday.
According to the newspaper, which cited court records in Lawrence County Pennsylvania, the incident occurred June 16 in Neshannock Township, which is located about an hour west of Pittsburgh.
Records also show that the 18-year-old Hooker was also charged with purchase of alcohol by a minor, disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving and driving without rear lights.
According to court records, Hooker's blood alcohol content level was between .10 and .16. His preliminary hearing is set for July 5.
Hooker the younger brother of Indianapolis Colts safety Malik Hooker, who also played for Ohio State. He was rated at the 20th best player in Pennsylvania and was on the Ohio State campus since the beginning of this month.
