Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh hired the father of a Class of 2016 signee for his staff, according to reports Thursday.

Devin Bush Sr., who had coached at Pembroke Pines Flanagan High School in Florida since 2013, will follow his son to Ann Arbor to serve as a defensive analyst.

Devin Bush Jr. is a four-star linebacker who played on his father's team and signed with the Wolverines earlier this month and was an early enrollee.

The Bushes helped Flanagan to a state title this past year in Florida in the state's largest division. Flanagan players Devin Gil and Josh Metellus also signed with Michigan.

Bush Sr. is a Miami native who played at Florida State and also for eight seasons in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons, St. Louis Rams and Cleveland Browns. He was part of a Super Bowl winner with the Rams.

The elder Bush reportedly will begin his new job next week. His ties to Florida will make him a key asset in recruiting the state for Harbaugh, who will take his Michigan team to Bradenton, Fla., next month during spring break for workouts.
