Kent State (11-1, 8-0) set a school record for wins and completed a perfect Mid-American Conference season for the first time. The Golden Flashes will play No. 23 Northern Illinois for the MAC championship next Friday in Detroit.

Ohio, which won its first seven games including a season-opening 24-14 victory over Penn State, fell to 8-4 overall and 4-4 in the conference.

Between the Wollet and Malauulu touchdowns, Trayion Durham ran 15 yards for a score. Matt Weller had field goals of 33 and 41 yards to get Ohio within 21-6 by halftime.

But the Golden Flashes defense stymied Ohio through the second half and iced the game with a 24-yard scoring pass from Spencer Keith to Eric Adeyemi early in the fourth quarter.
