COL FB: Stanford 54, Arizona 48 (OT)

STANFORD, Calif., Oct. 6 (UPI) -- Stepfan Taylor scored on a 21-yard run in overtime Saturday, capping a late rally that carried No. 18 Stanford past Arizona 54-48.

Taylor's decisive burst up the middle was set up when Chase Thomas intercepted a deflected Matt Scott pass during Arizona's overtime possession.

The Cardinal (4-1, 2-1 Pac-12) trailed 48-34 midway through the fourth quarter but rallied with a pair of Josh Nunes TD runs -- the second coming with 45 seconds left in regulation.

Taylor amassed 142 yards with two scores on 31 carries. Nunes completed 21-of-34 passes for 360 yards and two touchdowns as Stanford won its ninth straight.

Scott finished 45-of-69 through the air for 491 yards, three TDs and an interception for the Wildcats (3-3, 0-3).
