EAST LANSING, Mich., Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Everett Golson passed for 178 yards with a touchdown and also ran in a score Saturday, sparking No. 19 Notre Dame to a 20-3 win over No. 10 Michigan State.
Golson finished 14-of-32 passing, while Cierre Wood produced 56 yards on 10 carries for the Fighting Irish (3-0).

Kyle Brindza booted a 29-yard field goal with 6:21 left added a 47-yarder with 3:18 to play, icing Notre Dame's win.
The Spartans (2-1) couldn't get untracked offensively. Andrew Maxwell was held to 187 yards on 23-of-45 passing. Le'Veon Bell managed 77 yards on 17 carries.
