COL FB: TCU 56, Grambling State 0

FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 8 (UPI) -- Casey Pachall hurled three of his nine completions for touchdowns Saturday, sparking 17th-ranked Texas Christian to a 56-0 rout of Grambling State.

Pachall finished 9-of-9 for 201 yards in the passing department, while backup signal-caller Trevone Boykin was also perfect, connecting on all eight of his pass attempts for 75 yards and a touchdown.

Boykin also ran for 57 yards and a touchdown on five carries as TCU (1-0) logged a season-opening victory as a new member of the Big 12 Conference.

TCU Coach Gary Patterson, meanwhile, became the Horned Frogs' all-time winningest coach with his 110th victory.

Grambling State (0-2) was paced by Cedric Skinner, who gained 25 yards on eight carries.
