COL FB: South Carolina 30, Nebraska 13

ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 2 (UPI) -- Connor Shaw hurled two touchdown passes and rushed for another Monday in No. 9 South Carolina's 30-13 win over 20th-ranked Nebraska in the Capital One Bowl.

Shaw completed 11-of-17 passes for 229 yards -- 148 of which were amassed by Alshon Jeffery, who made four grabs before being ejected for fighting in the third quarter.

Kenny Miles scored on the ground and added a TD pass reception for the Gamecocks (11-2), who set a school record for wins in a season.

Nebraska (9-4), meanwhile, lost in its first appearance at the Orlando, Fla., game since 1991, when it was known as the Citrus Bowl.

Taylor Martinez picked up 116 passing yards with a touchdown to Kenny Bell for the Cornhuskers.
