STANFORD, Calif., Nov. 13 (UPI) -- LaMichael James ran for 152 yards and threes scores Saturday, helping sixth-ranked Oregon gain control of its division with a 53-30 win over No. 2 Stanford.
The Ducks (9-1, 7-0 Pac-12) posted the first road win over a Top 5 opponent in school history and moved atop the Pac-12 North Division with two home games against USC and Oregon State left on the schedule.
Darron Thomas connected on a trio of scoring strikes as Oregon won its 19th straight conference tilt.
The previously undefeated Stanford (9-1, 7-1), meanwhile, saw the nation's longest winning streak come to a halt at 17.
Heisman Trophy front-runner Andrew Luck also hurled three touchdowns en route to 271 yards but was picked off twice and lost a fumble.
