LUBBOCK, Texas, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Third-ranked Oklahoma State remained undefeated Saturday by pounding Texas Tech on the road 66-6.
Brandon Weeden was 31-for-37 passing for 423 yards and five touchdowns, and Joseph Randle ran for 78 yards and three TDs in the rout.
The win matched the Cowboys' (10-0, 7-0 Big 12) best start since they won their first 10 games in 1987 and 1988.
Texas Tech (5-5, 2-5) lost its third game in a row. The Red Raiders were shut out until the third quarter when Cornelius Douglas returned a fumble for a 37-yard score.
Seth Doege connected on 24-of-43 passes for 169 yards and was picked off once.
Josh Stewart returned a Texas Tech fumble 3 yards for a touchdown as part of the Cowboys' four-TD second quarter.
Oklahoma State out-gained the Raiders with 637 total yards of offense to 270.
