COL FB: Wake Forest 35, Florida State 30

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Oct. 8 (UPI) -- Tanner Price hurled three touchdown passes Saturday and Wake Forest knocked off 22nd-ranked Florida State 35-30.

Wake Forest (4-1, 3-0 ACC) grabbed the lead for good early in the second period when receiver Michael Campanaro tossed his second TD pass of the season, hitting Terence Davis on a 30-yard strike for a 9-7 lead.

Price made it 16-7 after 11 minutes on a 22-yard scoring toss to Chris Givens and the Demon Deacons went on to post their first 4-1 start since 2008.

Price finished 21-of-35 through the air for 233 yards and no interceptions, overcoming four sacks, while Josh Harris gained 135 yards on 13 rushing attempts in the victory.

Clint Trickett started the game for FSU (2-3, 0-2) and went 6-of-11 for 28 yards and a pair of interceptions before being benched in favor of EJ Manuel, who completed 19-of-35 pass attempts for 286 yards, two TDs and two pick-offs.
