COL FB: Texas A&M 45, Texas Tech 40

LUBBOCK, Texas, Oct. 8 (UPI) -- Ryan Tannehill ran for a pair of touchdowns and passed for one Saturday, propelling No. 25 Texas A&M to a 45-40 win over Texas Tech.

Tannehill went 16-of-26 passing for 188 yards and compiled 55 rushing yards on 10 carries for Texas A&M (3-2, 1-1 Big 12), which met rival Texas Tech as a member of the Big 12 Conference for the last time.

The Aggies, who will join the Southeastern Conference next season, got 116 yards and a score from Cyrus Gray and Christine Michael added 52 yards on the ground with a touchdown.

The Red Raiders (4-1, 1-1) were led by Seth Doege, who threw for 391 yards on 44-of-66 pass attempts.

Alex Torres made eight grabs for 111 yards and a score for Texas Tech.
