COL FB: Michigan 42, Northwestern 24

EVANSTON, Ill., Oct. 8 (UPI) -- Denard Robinson accounted for four touchdowns Saturday, passing for two and running for a pair in 11th-ranked Michigan's 42-24 victory over Northwestern.

The Wolverines (6-0, 2-0 Big Ten) scored 28 unanswered points to win the contest going away.

Robinson was intercepted three times in the first half but rebounded, amassing 325 passing yards and 117 rushing yards for the game. His favorite target was Junior Hemingway, who hauled in five passes for 124 yards.

Steve Watson and Jeremy Gallon caught TD passes and Devin Gardner and Michael Shaw each ran for a score for the Wolverines.

The Wildcats (2-3, 0-2) were led by Dan Persa, who completed 31-of-42 passes for 328 yards and an interception.
