COL BKB: Virginia 70, Davidson 57

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Mike Tobey scored 18 points and Malcolm Brogdon added 17 for 25th-ranked Virginia in their 70-57 road win over Davidson Saturday.

The Cavaliers (2-1) shot 50 percent from the field to 31.7 percent for Davidson (0-3) and dominated the rebounding totals 44-28.

Tobey gathered in seven boards and Akil Mitchell led with nine rebounds to go with 11 points.

Virginia held a narrow 29-27 lead in the first half but revved up their offense in the second half while limiting Davidson to 30 points.

The Wildcats had 13 points apiece from starters De'Mon Brooks, Brian Sullivan and Tyler Kalinoski. Kalinoski also pulled down nine rebounds.
