COL BKB: Virginia Commonwealth 59, Virginia 56

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Treveon Graham sank a go-ahead 3-pointer in the closing seconds Tuesday, rallying No. 14 Virginia Commonwealth over co-No. 25 Virginia 59-56.

Graham's decisive shot with 1.9 seconds remaining gave him 22 points and capped a 10-1 run ending the game for the Rams (2-0).

The Cavaliers (1-1) led by six points with 2:55 left, but consecutive scores by Juvonte Reddic and Jordan Burgess narrowed VCU's deficit two one point with 2:21 to play.

Graham's steal and subsequent basket put the Rams ahead 56-55, which is where the score stood until Virginia's Malcolm Brogdon split a pair of free throws to knot the score at 56-56 with 9.7 seconds left.

On the game-winning basket, Rob Brandenberg got the ball to Graham, who connected on a deep jumper.

A last-ditch 3-point try by the Cavs' Justin Anderson's bounced off the glass at the buzzer.
