COL BKB: Buffalo 81, Akron 67

BUFFALO, N.Y., March 2 (UPI) -- Javon McCrea struck for 26 points with six rebounds, four blocked shots and three steals for Buffalo Saturday in its 81-67 defeat of No. 24 Akron.

McCrea went 13-of-18 from the field while Jarryn Skeete added 18 points and Will Regan contributed 16 for the Bulls (12-17, 7-7 MAC), who snapped Akron's nation's-best 19-game win streak.

Tony Watson added 13 points and six assists for Buffalo.

Zeke Marshall supplied 17 points, six boards, five blocks and three steals for the Zips (23-5, 13-1), who lost for the first time since Dec. 15.

Alex Abreu and Demetrius Treadwell netted 14 points each in Akron's loss.
