COL BKB: Florida 79, South Carolina 65

COLUMBIA, S.C., Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Kenny Boynton led a parade of four Gators scoring in double figures Saturday and No. 19 Florida defeated South Carolina 79-65.

Boynton went 4-of-7 from beyond the arc en route to 15 points. Bradley Beal and Will Yeguete contributed 14 each for Florida (14-4, 2-1 SEC), which has won two straight following a Jan. 7 loss at Tennessee.

The Gators played a tough defense in the second half and outscored the Gamecocks 39-24 down the stretch.

South Carolina (8-9, 0-3), meanwhile, dropped its third straight.

Bruce Ellington had 17 points to pace the Gamecocks.
