COL BKB: Indiana 88, Penn State 82

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., Jan. 8 (UPI) -- Jordan Hulls drained seven shots from long range en route to 28 points Sunday and No. 12 Indiana bested Penn State 88-82 in a Big Ten Conference game.

Hulls went 7-of-9 from 3-point territory as the Hoosiers (15-1, 3-1 Big Ten) continued their season-long pattern of long-range accuracy. They came into the game shooting 45.6 percent from beyond the arc -- best in the nation -- and connected on 16-of-24 tries in Sunday's win.

Indiana snapped a 16-game road losing streak in conference games with the help of Matt Roth, who connected on five treys while racking up 22 points.

Christian Watford and Cody Zeller each added 10 points for the Hoosiers.

The Nittany Lions (9-8, 1-3) lost despite 21 points from Tim Frazier and 20 from Jermaine Marshall.
