COL BKB: Kansas State 75, Missouri 59

MANHATTAN, Kan., Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Rodney McGruder scored 20 points Saturday and 22nd-ranked Kansas State knocked No. 6 Missouri from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 75-59 win.

Will Spradling added 14 points for the Wildcats (12-2, 1-1 Big 12), who shot 49.1 percent from the field and were especially hot in the first half, connecting on 58.6 percent of their early shots.

KSU also dominated the glass, outrebounding its opponents 39-25.

Marcus Denmon was held to 17 points and Michael Dixon added 16 for Missouri (14-1, 1-1), which was off to its best start since the 1981-82 team began the year 19-0.
