ANN ARBOR, Mich., Jan. 1 (UPI) -- Tim Hardaway Jr. struggled offensively but his jump shot with 38.2 seconds left Sunday proved decisive in 16th-ranked Michigan's 61-56 victory over Minnesota.
Hardaway's basket gave the Wolverines a 59-56 lead and Rodney Williams missed a potential score-trying trey with 12 seconds left as the Wolverines (12-2, 2-0 Big Ten) continued their best start under Coach John Beilein.

Minnesota dropped a second straight following a six-game winning streak.
