COL BKB: Louisiana State 67, Marquette 59

BATON ROUGE, La., Dec. 19 (UPI) -- Ralston Turner pumped in 22 points Monday and Louisiana State handed 10th-ranked Marquette its first loss of the season, 67-59.

The Tigers (8-3) also got double-digit scoring from Justin Hamilton with 13 points, and from Storm Warren with 10. Hamilton grabbed seven rebounds and Warren added six boards off the bench as LSU registered a fifth straight win.

The Golden Eagles (10-1) fell short in their bid for their first 11-0 start since 1972-73.

Jae Crowder led Marquette with 22 points, hauling down nine boards, and Darius Johnson-Odom chipped in with 16.
