COL BKB: Texas A&M 67, La.-Monroe 54

COLLEGE STATION, Texas, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Khris Middleton pumped in 24 points in his return from an injury Saturday, propelling No. 25 Texas A&M to a 67-54 win over Louisiana-Monroe.

Middleton showed few ill effects from a seven-game absence due to a torn meniscus in his right knee as the Aggies (8-1) won for the sixth straight time.

Louisiana-Monroe crept to within five points at 54-49 with 5 1/2 minutes left in regulation, but Middleton scored eight straight points to put the game away.

David Loubeau contributed 13 points and Elston Turner added 12 in the win.

The Warhawks (1-8) were led by Hugh Mingo with 21 points, nine rebounds and five assists.
