COL BKB: UNLV 90, North Carolina 80

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Chace Stanback and Oscar Bellfield each hit four 3-pointers Saturday, leading Nevada-Las Vegas' long-range barrage in a 90-80 upset of No. 1 North Carolina.

Stanback finished with 28 points and Bellfield had 16 points with nine assists as the Rebels (7-0) connected on 13 three-pointers in all to topple the nation's top team in the championship tilt of the Las Vegas Invitational.

Mike Moser pulled down 18 rebounds to go with 16 points for UNLV.

The Tar Heels (5-1) sustained their first loss of the year despite going to the foul line nearly twice as often as their opponents.

P.J. Hairston and Harrison Barnes each scored 15 points for North Carolina.
