COL BKB: Alabama 64, North Florida 44

TUSCALOOSA, Ala., Nov. 11 (UPI) -- An 18-point performance by JaMychal Green and a big defensive effort Friday pushed No. 17 Alabama to a 64-44 victory over North Florida.

With both sides having difficulty hitting from the field, the game was tied at 11-11 with 7:30 remaining in the first half. The Crimson Tide then built a 13-point advantage at intermission and coasted from there.

North Florida made just 13 field goals for the entire game, shot 23 percent from the floor and hit only 3-of-21 attempts from beyond the arc. Alabama hit 40 percent from the field.

Tony Mitchell added 17 points with 10 rebounds for Alabama. The Crimson Tide played for the NIT title last season after winning 25 games.

The Ospreys were paced by nine points and nine rebounds from Andy Diaz.
