Daytime Emmy Awards: How to watch, what to expect

June 25 (UPI) -- The 48th annual Daytime Emmy Awards are taking place Friday on CBS and Paramount+.

Sheryl Underwood of The Talk fame is hosting the event for the fifth time.

The ceremony, which honors excellence in daytime television, will be broadcast from ATI Studios in Burbank, Calif.

The show marks the 15th time CBS has broadcasted the Daytime Emmy Awards and first time since 2008 that one network will air both the Daytime and Primetime Emmy Awards in the same year.

Kathy Lee Gifford, Ken Jeong, Martha Stewart and Robin Roberts will be paying tribute to the late Regis Philbin, Alex Trebek and Larry King.
