Oct. 9 (UPI) -- Derek Fisher and Sharna Burgess were eliminated from Season 25 of Dancing with the Stars in Los Angeles Monday night.

Asked what he got out of the experience, the former NBA player said: "Growth. Growth as a man, growth as a person. Just learning to continue to be a part of something bigger than yourself. So, I am so happy and so proud to have been a part of this, no matter how long it lasted and I am forever changed from it and I look forward to a bright future."
