Michal Rozsival, Jordin Tootoo agree to one-year extensions with Chicago Blackhawks

Michal Rozsival and Jordin Tootoo agreed to one-year contract extensions with the Chicago Blackhawks, the team announced Tuesday.

Their contracts will run through the end of the 2017-18 season.

Rozsival, a 38-year-old defenseman, has one goal and one assist in 51 games with the Blackhawks this season. He has four goals and 48 assists in 201 games over five seasons with Chicago.

A 16-year NHL veteran, Rozsival has 68 goals and 240 assists in 957 games between the Blackhawks, Phoenix Coyotes, New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins.

Tootoo, a 34-year-old right wing, is without a point in 36 games in his first season with the Blackhawks. He spent 12 prior seasons with the Nashville Predators, Detroit Red Wings and New Jersey Devils.

In 13 seasons, Tootoo has 63 goals and 95 assists over 709 contests.

Chicago (39-18-5) is second in the Central Division and hosts the Penguins on Wednesday night.
