COL FB: Fresno State 35, San Diego State 28 (OT)

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Marcel Jensen blocked a late San Diego State field goal try and Fresno State scored in overtime for a 35-28 win that kept the 18th-ranked Bulldogs undefeated.

San Diego State rallied from being 14 points down and had a chance to win in regulation with a 37-yard field goal by Seamus McMorrow. But Jensen was able to deflect the kick, which landed in the end zone.

Fresno State (7-0, 4-0 Mountain West Conference) overcame problems in overtime, being pushed back by a 15-yard penalty and then having a potential touchdown catch overturned on replay review.

Marteze Waller, however, converted a third-and-8 by catching a pass that got the ball to the 1 and the next play he rushed up the middle for a touchdown.

Fresno State got another good defensive play by Derron Smith who knocked away San Diego State's final pass attempt to end the game.

Isaiah Burse scored on a 10-yard run in the first quarter for a Fresno State lead midway through the first quarter. Adam Muema, who rushed for 111 yards, scored on runs of 10 yards and 1 yard that put San Diego State (3-4, 2-1) up 14-7 in the third quarter.

Fresno State put up 21 straight points with Derek Carr hitting two scoring passes and Ejiro Ederaine returning a fumble 78 yards for a score and 28-14 lead with 9:51 left.

Aaron Boesch had a 1-yard scoring run and Chad Young broke free for a 27-yard rush that tied the score for San Diego State with 6:15 to go.
