LUBBOCK, Texas, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- Freshman Davis Webb threw three touchdown passes Saturday to lead No. 21 Texas Tech past Iowa State 42-35.
Davis completed 35-of-56 passes for 415 yards and three Texas Tech running backs each had 80 yards or more on the ground.

Texas Tech (6-0, 3-0 Big 12) accumulated 251 rushing yards to 143 for Iowa State (1-4, 0-2). SaDale Foster ran for 87 yards and scored the decisive touchdown with 5:30 to play in the game.
Iowa State's ground game produced three rushing touchdowns. Sam Richardson completed 15-of-38 passes for 168 yards and a TD.
The scoree was tied 21-21 at halftime but the Cyclones did not score in the third quarter.
