COL FB: Texas A&M 42, Southern Methodist 13

COLLEGE STATION, Texas, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Johnny Manziel scrambled for two touchdowns Saturday and No. 9 Texas A&M got back on the winning track with a 42-13 victory over Southern Methodist.

The Heisman Trophy-winner completed 14-of-21 passes for 244 yards with an interception and also ran for 102 yards as the Aggies (3-1) bounced back from a tough loss last week to top-ranked Alabama.

Ben Malena helped out the Aggies' ground game with 71 yards on 13 carries.

The Mustangs (1-2) were paced by Garrett Gilbert, who racked up 310 passing yards on 37-of-62 efficiency.

Gilbert tossed a touchdown pass and was picked off once.
