Gallon finished with eight receptions for 184 yards as the Wolverines (2-0) improved to 24-16-1 all-time against the Fighting Irish in the final game of an annual rivalry series begun in 2002.

The two schools were unable to agree on extending the series due to Notre Dame's commitments as a new member of the ACC beginning next season.

Tommy Rees went 29-of-51 for 314 passing yards, two touchdowns and two pick-offs for Notre Dame (1-1).
