COL FB: North Carolina 35, Georgia Tech 28

ATLANTA, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Tevin Washington passed for one touchdown and ran in another two Saturday to lead No. 24 Georgia Tech past No. 25 North Carolina 35-28.

Washington ended the day with an efficient 10-of-14 passing for 184 yards and also carried the ball 25 times for a total of 73 yards to keep the Yellow Jackets (4-0, 1-0 ACC) undefeated.

Washington's second TD run of 5 yards with 5:20 to play in the game came after North Carolina (3-1, 1-1 ACC) scored twice in the fourth quarter to tie the game 28-28.

The Tar Heels had two touchdown runs from Giovani Bernard and two TD passes from Bryn Renner. Renner was 17-of-25 for 204 yards but was intercepted twice.
