COL FB: Michigan 28, San Diego State 7

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson ran for 200 yards and three touchdowns Saturday in the undefeated Wolverines' 28-7 home win over San Diego State.

Robinson completed 8-of-17 passes, none for scores, but carried the ball 21 times and broke a run for a 53-yard touchdown in the first quarter that gave No. 23 Michigan (4-0) a 14-0 lead.

Vincent Smith also ran in a touchdown and accounted for 47 of Michigan's 320 yards on the ground.

Ronnie Hillman ran the ball 21 times for 109 yards for San Diego State (3-1). Ryan Lindley was 23-of-48 for 253 yards and connected with Colin Lockett late in the third quarter for the Aztecs' only points.

San Diego State turned the ball over three times to Michigan's four and was outgained in total yardage 413-376.
